HR monitor took about 3/4 miles to read properly. Early readings ranged from 00 to 208.
Pace was very consistent. Took 30 sec walk breaks every 7:30. Had very few negative thoughts to deal with. No ipod used. Wore gloves for 1st half. Carried 1 bottle of Hydrolyte at a time, drinking 3-6 swallows during walk breaks. Had GU gel at 40 min and 1:30. Right calf tightened some. Very tight hours after.
*good idea to stretch back during walk breaks.
