16 - 22 September 2013 Training Log

This week has been very limited on the workout front. Too much stress at work and lots to do to have a successful weekend for Team Challenge at TriRock. So excited! Can't wait for the race! It's a true culmination of at least 8 weeks of planning and preparation and then 16 weeks of coaching. They are so ready!!!
I'll have a light week of training next week as well, working long hours at work-work. It's not at all how imagined it would pan out but there's nothing that can be done to change it. I will hit it hard the following week. I'm trying to think of these 2 weeks as if I'm backing off due to an injury and that all will be fine in the end if I can ramp it up again after Oct 1 with 8 1/2 weeks to go before Ironman Arizona. I think I have this past year's training successes that I can rely on, not to mention the previous 4 years of endurance training. I WILL no doubt be frustrated next week but am holding on strongly to the vision of a killer 8 1/2 week block (minus the taper), counting on that to make me as good as I could expect, and perhaps even better.

pm - :60 Trainer Ride - worked late so it was a short ride. Did 5 x 1/1 hard intensity (1 min hard, 1 min ez spin)
